The City of McKinney is investing over $100 million on the east side of the historic downtown district that includes a 13-acre Municipal Community Complex which will include a new City Hall. McKinneyEast’s new development, located in the East McKinney Redevelopment and Preservation area, will be within walking distance of the new Municipal Community Complex and three city parks.

The airport is a division of the City of McKinney, Texas and is a major economic driver for the area. A proposed project includes adding a new terminal, taxiway and other infrastructure that would support commercial passenger service at the existing airport.

The second option, shown in orange, would travel east of the airport and north to connect with FM 1827. This option would better support future regional growth with more roadway capacity and better connects US 380 and US 75 to the area east of the McKinney National Airport and areas planned for future development.
